Course Outline
Events, whether largescale concerts, corporate gatherings, sports competitions, or exhibitions, pose unique and often unpredictable risks. Beyond basic coverage, insurance professionals and event organizers must navigate issues such as contractual liability, non-appearance risks, terrorism and civil commotion, Cyber risk, and contingent business interruption.
Led by Melody Lai and Julie Quach, this interactive session will explore advanced insurance solutions, policy intricacies, claims scenarios, and strategic risk management approaches. Through real-world case studies and discussions, participants will gain a more sophisticated understanding of how to structure comprehensive event insurance programs, mitigate exposures, and effectively handle claims disputes.

Julie Quach is currently serving as the Co-Regional Director, Head of Operations and Claims Asia Pacific at Circles Group, a highly accomplished Lloyds Coverholder and MGA in Hong Kong. She has over 20 years of experience in underwriting, claims management, and business transformation. She held roles with Zurich and QBE in Hong Kong. Her expertise includes Medical, Employee Compensation Claims, Corporate Operation Efficiencies and Transformation.
Melody Lai
Melody has nearly a decade of experience in underwriting and insurance, specializing in film, event, and entertainment-related risks. She has held key roles at Circle Asia Limited and Chubb Insurance Hong Kong. Her expertise includes portfolio management, risk assessment, and industry-specific underwriting, with a strong focus on the Asia Pacific market. Her extensive experience has exposed her to high-profile projects and unique risks within the entertainment and film industries.
